The download comes as a standalone package, so you don’t even need to install anything, though you might want to associate some of the more common comic file types with MComix soon after trying it out. The internet is flooded with webcomics, and mobile devices offer an intuitive way to read comics without having to buy physical copies. We recommend sticking to comic book reader apps, which are optimized for reading comic books much better than standard PDF readers.

Slow and flawed with bizarre defaults
This app looked promising, but once I downloaded it I found that it was noticeably slow. Changing pages takes time, scrolling is jerky, and it really shouldn’t be for an application that’s just displaying images. The default keybindings are, bizarrely, reversed, so left is forward and right is backward, and though these can be changed it’s a very odd default. Similarly scrolling doesn’t default to use the system default, another inexplicable choice. Swiping doesn’t work as expected, and one might expect the up and down keys to scroll, but they don’t.
Would be so much better if integrated with iBooks
Nice app, but it would be so much better if it would be integrated with iBooks… which is where I keep my book and comics library.
Does not work! Keeps crashing.
I’m running OSX El Capitan. I bought this app thinking it is what I am looking for. Reading all the reviews it looks quite good. But it does not work on my machine. It crashed from the first time I used it to to open a cbz file. Keeps getting the “DrawnStrips Reader quit unexpectedly”.
Sim daltonism for mac pc. That was a waste of good money.
